Service Providers Group

Process

To join login your Social Link Member Portal then submit a Service Providers Group Application to let us know that you are interested.

Once your application has been submitted, we will assign you to a group (Boston, North / West and South). We take into account the kind of work that you do and your area of expertise. We then make your group assignment accordingly so the groups are comprised as evenly as possible with regard to expertise.

Third step, we let you know what group you are in and when and where the group meets.

 

Meeting Format and What to Expect at Meetings

The groups will meet once per month for 1.5 – 2 hours at a member’s site. With some accounting for approximation, the session will look like this:

  • First 30 minutes – networking
  • Second 30 minutes – introductions
  • Third 30 minutes – needs, wants, sharing leads, thank yous
  • Fourth 30 minutes – group exercise

Each group will have a group leader or co-leaders who will guide you through the session.

Why you don’t always have to litigate (and why you probably shouldn’t!)

Executive Summary

This presentation and interactive exercise will help people make educated, wise choices about how they resolve their disputes, as well as provide useful information for preventing or diffusing conflicts before they escalate into full disputes. 

 

20-minute Presentation

Most people faced with a dispute immediately hire a litigation firm and either initiate a lawsuit or engage in defending it before they have learned about the many options they have to a highly damaging, draining, expensive and long process of litigating though the courts. Michael Zeytoonian, an expert in dispute resolution, will provide valuable insights and guiding tips to avoid the minefield of court battle and educate on what approaches may be a better fit for your situation and explain why. This talk will focus on:

  • Assessing the dispute situation and key client factors

  • Understanding some options and when to use them

  • Designing the process to respond to the client’s goals and interests

  • Avoid the draining of resources, emotions and energies

  • Reaching an outcome of the dispute that restores the good         

 

20-minute Exercise

Participants will get involved in assessing different kinds of disputes and identifying which option would be the right fit for the circumstances of each dispute and the interests and goals of each party to the dispute.
